The Lines Are Being Drawn
Rick Joyner just came out with the sixth of his commentaries on the Lakeland move of God and the move at his ministry in Fort Mill, South Carolina. There is a tremendous connection between the two and Rick gives evidence in his commentary as to why this is.
Rick also has some very humble, honest, and most of all, true things to say about Todd, and really any human being in the place God has Todd right now. Basically Rick is saying that no one is perfect and all will make mistakes in presentation, words, even actions sometimes. The critical issue is, how will we as beleivers respond to this? Will we be offended? Will we “throw the baby out with the bath water” and assume that none of what has been happening is God? Listen to what Rick has to say on this:
“Todd has been sent to offend the religious spirit and to be an offense to the complacent, and thank the Lord it is working. Todd came to Concord, North Carolina last week to do a one night meeting. The arena was packed to overflowing with eight thousand people, and reports were that there were as many turned away as who got in. There was gridlock on Hwy 49 for over six miles. When the police drove up and down the road, telling people to go home because no more could get into the arena, crowds poured out of their cars just to worship on the side of the road. That sounds like true revival to me.
If Todd does something foolish, it will probably be in front of an international television audience. He has many critics that are waiting like packs of wolves to jump on anything they can. The more that power is released, the more vicious these attacks will become. We really need to discern between the voice of the true shepherds and the voice of the accuser of the brethren, who will use any inroad he can to get brethren to accuse other brethren. Historically, the most vicious of all attacks have come from threatened church leaders, especially the leaders of the previous move of God. This is a terrible tragedy that we really need to pray will get broken this time.”
The hour in which we live is a critical one, the most critical in human history. The time is coming when there really will be counterfeit miracles and false prophets, and if we lack the spiritual discernment to tell the difference, we will find ourselves believing the wrong guy. Let’s use the time we have now to grow in wisdom and true spiritual insight, not rejecting things out of hand. The lines are truly being drawn in the sand and there is an increasingly smaller gray area try to be in. Let’s use this move of God, which is not slowing down, but actually growing, to receive all God has for us. We need this and more!

Really? Another false prophet who supports Todd?

Wow. Your input is really valuable. But you won’t see this, because all you are trying to do is stir the pot on site that you have disagreements with so that you can drive traffic to your own blog. You don’t come back and resposond or read what others are responding to you. Are 5000 page view really that important to you? Also is Wesley Smith one of the early members of your church? 1940s era… It appears that anyone that disagrees with your doctrine in any way is a “false prophet” (Todd Bentley, Rick Joyner, Billy Graham just to name a few off your blog) That is dangerous ground, thinking you have all the answers and complete understanding of the scriptures. Because unless you fully know God(I Cor 13), then you see dimly as in a mirror(II Cor 3:18), just like the rest of us.

I agree Kevin. I genuinely feel bad for folks like this – they are truly in danger of being caught in the great falling away at the end of the age. (II Thess 2)

I’m a little embarrassed to see that my blog got an auto-link here to “A Line Must be Drawn”.
Based on what I’ve read in this post, you don’t want to visit me.
Seriously.
Take Care.

“Oooooooooooooo!”
Is that good for me or bad for me?
SinisterDan - July 7, 2008 at 11:36 pm
Neither really. Just a response to your first comment in light of what was said.

Fair enough.
But for a second, you had me worried.
Cheers.
