The Battle Intensifies
This past Sunday at Forerunner Christian Fellowship, Lou Engle shared on the spiritual realities of what we have chosen as a nation. By that I mean what we chose by who we elected president. Lou’s reference was to two issues, abortion and the homosexual/lesbian “movement”. He referenced the fact that Obama is the most blatantly, fiercely pro-death man ever elected president. He is also highly in favor of homosexuality being recognized as a legitmate “minority”, requireing acknowledgement and equal “civil rights”. The highlight of his message, if you will, was the showing of a news video from this past Friday night in the Castro district of San Francisco. A group of young people from IHOP-KC and a house of prayer in San Francisco have been regularly gathering there for months worshipping on the streets and interceding for the area, even getting to pray for individuals occasionally. The point is, they have been doing this peacefully and without much fear for months. This past Friday night, that all changed. They were at first yelled at by one, over the edge, angry homosexual man, then two, then a whole group. Then, hot coffee was thrown on some of the girls in the group. Then the enraged homosexual men starting blowing whistles loudly, so that some of the young people are fearing they have permanent hearing loss. Finally, physical violence and “perversion” (this is what the girl who was there said – I don’t know what exactly that means) broke out. The guys in the group encircled the girls and the police were called. The police made the group of worshippers be escorted out of the area. So, what casued this sudden change in the “atmosphere” in the Castro district? Could it be that we are being given what have chosen? We, as a country, have said yes to abortion and endorsing homosexuality in the name of a better economy. So we get what comes with it, which includes an emboldened rebellious spirit and associated demonic activity. Yes, I belive when humans go over the edge as these folks did, it is given extra “energy” through demonic power.
We’ve turned a siginificant corner in the United States spiritually. The spiritual battle is truly intensifying. Let the Prayer Movement increase as well!

Amen. We have turned for sure, but thank God for the remnant who is fighting. I saw this from home and I have not been the same since Sunday morning. Let’s pray the church hears the wake up call. I know I pray I will continue to!

Hi, I like your blog so I’ll add it to my blogroll if you don’t mind.
As far as the gay issue goes, we definitely have a big battle ahead of us, but we MUST fight it and not let them win. I think they are hoping to wear us down so we’ll stop fighting. When this issue goes to the CA Supreme Court again I’m very afraid they will rule as they did the 1st time and our vote won’t even matter. If that happens it will be very discouraging but we can’t let the matter drop. The problem is that a lot of Christians just don’t help in the fight, which is why we ended up here in the 1st place. Christians definitely need to wake up and stand up for right. Sadly, a lot of Christians think it is ‘un-Christian’ to fight these battles so they are doing nothing.

Thanks for your comment Bridget. I too have begun to pray over the CA Supreme Court taking Prop. 8 up. The idea of judges willfully, repeatedly “overuling” the obvious will of the people is shocking. Praying for the the church in CA as well! Eyes MUST be opened by the Holy Spirit!
Thanks for adding my blog to your blog roll.
